Our History

2006

Tom and Patrice Felger were called to build a home called House of Hope Northeast Indiana for teenagers in crisis, consisting of three distinct components: Residential, Farm, and Business Related Income.

2007

501(c)(3) status was achieved, a home was purchased and renovations began at our first location in Bluffton, IN.

2008

Non-Residential Counseling was started, providing counseling services to teens and families.

2009

Residential Program was launched, providing residential care for teens in crisis at our first location in Bluffton, IN.

2010

Expanded to second location and remodeled leased farm and house. Moved Residential Program to farm setting.

2011

Opened private, on-campus school at first location in Bluffton, IN providing IN State Accreditation through The Crossing.

2012

BrickHouse Farms, LLC. and farm store were established to provide business-related income.

2013

Hired part-time Secondary House Parents for the Primary House Parents to oversee residential component.

2014

Hired full-time BrickHouse Farms Manager to oversee day-to-day operations.

2015

Established AfterCare Program for teens transitioning from Residential Program to home.

2016

Rebranded to BrickHouse Family Ministries, Inc.
